What is hypertrophy training?

Hypertrophy training is resistance training organized to increase muscle size. It combines sufficiently challenging sets, enough weekly work, appropriate exercises, progressive training demands and adequate recovery.

How many sets should I do to build muscle?

There is no universal number. Begin with a manageable dose, count direct and relevant indirect work, keep the dose while performance improves and add volume gradually only when the existing sets are already productive and recovery remains good.

Do I need to train to failure?
