Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data The Hypertrophy Guide collects, why it is used,
who may process it, and the choices and rights available to you.

Last updated: September 21, 2026

1. Who controls your data

The data controller for this website is Alexander Kekec Larsen, operating
The Hypertrophy Guide (THG) from Copenhagen, Denmark.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies when you visit The Hypertrophy Guide, subscribe to emails, request a
free resource, contact THG, use site tools, or interact with links and content on the site.
It does not govern the independent websites, products, or services of third parties.

  • Cookie identifiers and similar technical identifiers, subject to your consent choices where required.
  • Email delivery, confirmation, unsubscribe, open, and click information collected through Klaviyo.

THG does not use your personal data for decisions based solely on automated processing
that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Email, newsletters, and free resources

When you sign up for a free program or email content, the signup form explains what you
agree to receive. THG uses Klaviyo to manage forms, confirmation, subscriber records, email
delivery, and engagement information. Double opt-in may be used to confirm that you control
the submitted email address and to document the subscription.

You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
or by contacting THG. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred
before consent was withdrawn. After unsubscribing, limited information may be retained on a
suppression list so that your preference can be respected.

6. Cookies and analytics

THG uses necessary technologies to operate and secure the website. With your consent, the
site may also use analytics and similar technologies to understand visits, content usage,
traffic sources, and performance.

Google Analytics 4 may process online identifiers, device and browser information,
approximate location, referral information, and interactions with the website. Google Tag
Manager and Google Site Kit may be used to manage or connect Google services; they do not
change the purpose for which the underlying service processes data.

Where consent is required, non-essential analytics or marketing technologies should not be
activated until you make a choice. You can withdraw or change your choice through the site’s
cookie preferences tool and can also delete cookies through your browser settings.

7. Affiliate links and external websites

Some pages contain affiliate links. If you follow one of these links, an affiliate network
or retailer may use a click identifier, cookie, or similar technology to attribute a later
purchase. THG may receive a commission without increasing the price you pay. Where required,
affiliate tracking technologies are subject to your consent choices.

Awin and participating retailers process data under their own privacy notices. External
websites are responsible for their own data practices. Read the
THG Affiliate Disclosure
for more information about editorial independence and affiliate relationships.

8. Service providers and data sharing

THG shares personal data only where needed to operate the site, provide requested services,
comply with law, or protect legitimate interests. Current categories of recipients include:

THG does not sell personal data. If ownership or control of the site changes, relevant data
may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and safeguards.

9. International data transfers

Some providers may process personal data outside Denmark or the European Economic Area.
Where required, transfers are protected through an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data
Privacy Framework for participating organisations, the European Commission’s Standard
Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact THG for more
information about the relevant safeguards.

10. How long we keep personal data

  • Email subscriber data: kept while you remain subscribed. After withdrawal,
    limited suppression and consent records may be retained as necessary to honour your choice
    and demonstrate compliance.

    relevant analytics service and deleted or aggregated when no longer needed.

    request, maintain appropriate records, or address a dispute.

Retention may be extended where required by law or where records are reasonably necessary
for legal claims. Data may be anonymised and used in aggregate form where it can no longer
identify you.

11. Your data-protection rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal conditions or exemptions. THG may
need information to verify your identity before responding to a request.

against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. No internet or
storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Children’s privacy

THG is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from
children under 16 through newsletter forms. If you believe a child has provided personal data,
please contact us so the matter can be reviewed and the data deleted where appropriate.

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when services, processing activities, or legal requirements change.
The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where a
change materially affects processing based on consent, new consent will be requested where required.
